I’ve been used torrent for quite a long time, just lately I’m totally pissed off with my torrent connection. With seeder around 100+, I only get the download speed around 10-20kbps, which are so-so slow. I’ve to wait 2-3 days to download a drama series that size around 600-800 MB. Regardless, my internet always dropping because I’ve to share with my others housemates.
Since last 4 days, I had discovered about BolehVPN.net which can overcome the TMNUT stupidity. The VPN was used to secure all the packets from torrent, unlikely without using the VPN before, my download speed sometime achieve 50-80kbps, I rather happy with that.
Still, the download speed totally depending on the numbers on seeders and peers. Nevertheless, I’m happy with the speed now.
After the TMNUT throttle the torrent packets, we as Malaysian can’t connect to the outsiders, instead had to rely on local peers. Therefore, by using VPN, the TMNUT can;t detect the torrent packets and this had overcome the throttle thingy.
OOOWHHHH…VPN….U HAD ENLIGHTEN MY LIFE
Now, I had agreed with my housemate. I’ll download all their required movies, instead they can’t keep their promises on not switch on the torrent on their computers. Why??..comparing to single line, a sharing line will be disrupted when using more than 2 client of torrents. I also enforce them not to use ares, just allowed them to download their favourite movies from Veoh.com.
So, the agreement had achieve, mine, the compaq HP laptop act as server for downloading, and other members become the storage for the movies. I don’t have enough space anymore…huhu..somebody please donate the external HD to me…
Forgot to mention, the monthly charges for the usage of VPN are around RM30. Absolutely all the expenses on me, luckily got the credit card to save my torrent.
Actually, at this house, I was acting like a system admin. I conduct all the ports, sponsor the modem, router as well as the cabels. I can’t live withou internet, I prefer having the internet rather than having a girlfriend..shuuh..shuuh
I remembered, 2 months ago, I went to TMNUT for the streamyx subscription. The lady that entertained me quite pretty and soft talk to me. Perhaps, I can get a chance for her number. She told me that the installation will take 3 days from the day I came for registration. I’m requested her, ‘Miss, could you please cepatkan sikit, I need this thingy for my studies(study laa sgt kan)’.
Then she replied with the not really fluent english, ‘ I can’t promised you, but I’ll try to help.’
Then, I pay for the registration and went to MMU campus.
After one hour, I was sitting in the library. I get a call and a technician of Telekom asked me to be at my house at 4pm. Howly shit, without hesitated, I start my car and drove to my new house. About 4.05pm, a man with a kids, in a Telekom uniform ring the bell.
I opened the door, and he began the installation of the fix line. Nevertheless, I had a good relieve with the fix line. Surprisingly, within 24 hours after the installation of the fix line, I already get connected to the broadband(not really broad actually).
I’m really envying Singapore, their citizen got a high speed at a low price. Perhaps some private telco here will enter the broadband industry and create the competition to TM.
Or, they will monopolize this service, if this happen in US, surely the government asked them to split the share.
Opss, I’m a telekom’s scholar, maybe all of you should pray for me. Perhaps I can be the CEO of Telekom, can low down the rates and increase the speed.
After all, Subuh already calling me. I’m still not sleeping, finalize my task.DIUUUUUU
